Associate Pastor: Taeshin Kim

 

 

I was born and raised in Seoul, Korea, awarded my Master of Divinity degree from Drew Theological School in Madison, New Jersey.

I am serving this blessed Heritage UMC from this June, and before that, from 2013-2016, I served my country, the Republic of Korea, as an Army officer, a 1st Lt.

in the 5th Artillery brigade of the Korean Army as a Platoon Leader and Battalion Signal Officer.

Since 2018, I have been serving Simpson UMC in Old Bridge, NJ, as a Seminary Intern.

My passion is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our risen and coming king and I wish to share this passion with you. My life verse is John 21:17 “He said to him the third time, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter felt hurt because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.”

I look forward to meeting you in the Heritage UMC and to seeing you and walking with you in the days ahead.

In my spare time, I love to play and watch basketball, ride a bicycle, cook for people,

and listen to their stories at the table.
