Sunday Morning Music

Beginning April 30th, we will have one combined worship service on the 5th Sunday of each quarter.

For the remainder of 2023, the 5th Sunday dates are April 30th, July 30th, and October 29th. On these Sundays, the worship service will be at 10:00 am, followed by a church-wide meal.

Contemporary Music and Traditional Hymns.

Choir, Discovery Band, Church Orchestra and Handbells are currently in person practice.

Prayer Time and Bible Study

Join us on Facebook Live at 10:00 am on Wednesdays for a midweek meditation and devotional to keep you uplifted through the week.

We are also offering Wednesday Evening, 6:30 p.m. /Thursday Morning 10:00 a.m. Bible Studies through Zoom and in person Hybrid. 

MISSIONS

Serve Lynchburg

Heritage UMC mission teams reach out to the community in service and love. As the hands and feet of Jesus, our teams turn service into action.  Donations to mission projects can be made through Heritage UMC (make a memo on your donation specifying mission).

Park View Community Mission

This ministry feeds hundreds of people each week, and Heritage members serve on the fourth Saturday of each month. Other ways to serve: Food for Families Distribution (Thursday: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; Saturday: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.); Wednesday Night Meal (4:30-7 p.m.). Contact: Glenda Fort (434) 426-0650.

Churches for Urban Ministry

Heritage members take part in a tutoring program for elementary students every Monday and Wednesday afternoon. This ministry also runs a food pantry, mentoring program, community garden and summer camp.

Meals on Wheels

Heritage members are part of this national organization dedicated to addressing senior hunger and isolation. Volunteers deliver meals to neighbors in the community.
